Life Saving Award

The Camp Hill Police Department would like to announce that Officer McClure received the Life Saving Award on February 8th.  This award was given in response to an incident on October 14, 2022.  The West Shore Regional Police Department conducted a traffic stop on a motorcycle in the area of S. Front St. and Walnut St. Shortly after pulling over, the motorcyclist took off southbound at a high rate of speed with disregard to public safety. While traveling at a high rate of speed, the motorcyclist struck a pedestrian, completely severing the pedestrians left leg below the knee. The pedestrian's other leg was also seriously injured. Three (3) backup officers, including Officer Ryan McClure, responded immediately and took life saving actions. Great job Officer Ryan McClure!
