On July 27th 2015 at 2154 hrs Carlisle Police responded to a report of an intoxicated driver that had two children in the vehicle. The driver was travelling northbound in the area of N Hanover and Clay Streets, and a traffic stop eventually took place at the Rodeway Inn. The driver, Samuel J Johnson, was found to be under the influence of alcohol and marijuana and was placed under arrest for DUI. Johnson had an infant and a young child who were seated in the rear of the vehicle at the time of the stop. Johnson was also found to have a suspended license for DUI. Johnson is being charged with endangering the welfare of a child (2 counts), recklessly endangering another person (2 counts, DUI (4 counts and driving on a suspended license DUI related.
