On 8/8/2018 Chief Robert Pine of the Cumberland Goodwill EMS located at 519 S Hanover St, reported a theft that was discovered to have taken place by a member of their company. The member was discovered to have been submitting hours on his time sheet that were not worked, taking cash from the petty cash fund for personal use, using the Company gas card to fill his personal vehicles and using the Company Credit Card to purchase items for personal use. .
The member was identified as Jeffrey J. Salisbury, Assistant EMS Chief and Fleet Manager in charge of the Company vehicles and maintenance. .
Detectives from the Carlisle Police Department and Cumberland County CID conducted a joint investigation into the theft and were able to sort out all of the Fraudulent Purchases and Fraudulent Hours reportedly worked to determine a total loss to Cumberland Goodwill EMS was $52.330.21.
Jeffrey Salisbury admitted to the aforementioned allegations as well as the theft of the petty cash which brings the total loss to Cumberland Goodwill EMS to $53,021.21.
Jeffrey Salisbury was arraigned before MDJ Birbeck on the above charges.
