On Saturday, March 10, 2018, at 0456 Carlisle Police responded to the 500 block of S Pitt St. for an armed robbery. The victim was sleeping when they heard someone knocking on their door. The subjects knocking, announced they were the Carlisle Police. The victim answered the door, and was immediately struck in the head with a handgun. Three males rushed into the residence, and continued assaulting the victim. The victim described the gun as a black, semi-auto style pistol. The suspects rummaged through the apartment, making off with approximately $200 in cash. Two of the three suspects have been identified as Michael Wright, and Rashad Barnes. Arrest warrants have been obtained for the above mentioned charges for both Wright and Barnes. Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Wright or Barnes, or information on the third suspect, are asked to contact the Carlisle Police Department. Anyone coming in contact with the suspects are asked to use extreme caution as they are considered armed and dangerous.
On Sunday March 11th, 2018, an off duty Carlisle PD officer observed Michael Wright in the area of Walmart as a passenger in a vehicle. Uniformed patrol units arrived and were able to apprehend Wright as he exited a store in the area. Barnes was located in the rear passenger compartment of the vehicle and taken into custody as well. Barnes was found to be in possession of 11 bags of heroin and was additionally charged with possession of a controlled substance.
