On Sunday, 5/10/20 at about 0512 hours, the Carlisle Fire and Police Departments responded to a row home fire at 157 North East Street. The fire extended to the neighboring houses. The investigation revealed the fire originated in the attic 157 N East St at/or near the chimney. Further investigation revealed the chimney had deteriorated and ignited the wood frame roof supports. There were no injuries reported. At least five people were displaced by the fire. Damage was estimated at about $175,000 for all three residences.
