Over the last few days, we have been notified of several incidents involving BB guns.  There has been property damage and an assault throughout the Borough of Carlisle.  Below is a break down of the incidents currently being investigated.  Anyone with information related to these incidents or involved individuals is asked to contact the Carlisle Police Department by submitting a tip through our crimewatch or calling 717-243-5252.

03/31/22 along 100 blk E High St at 8:06am, significant damage to a parked vehicle was discovered.

We were contacted by concerned citizens about a male who was in LeTort Park yesterday who was clearly attempting to talk with people and draw attention from youth. For everyone’s information, the Carlisle Police Department has investigated. This male was positively identified and is confirmed to be a youth pastor at a local congregation. As always, the police department would encourage people to be cautious having their children around any areas where there could be strangers. We appreciate the vigilance so many of you have shown.

This 80 year old female, Donna, is missing from her residence. A ring camera shows her walking southbound along the 500 blk N Bedford St at 2am this morning. All Carlisle Emergency Services are assisting in the search for her at this time. If anyone sees her, please contact the Carlisle Police at 717-243-5252.

Carlisle Police have been on the scene of an assault along the 100 block of W South St. A subject is being treated at a regional hospital for moderate injuries at this time. Investigation is ongoing but there is no information to indicate this was a random act or that the general public is at risk.

Beginning today, September 2nd 2021, the Carlisle Police Department will begin a wave of pedestrian safety enforcement and education. Over the last 5 years, the Carlisle Police Department has responded to 61 pedestrian related crashes. The goal of this wave is to reduce the number of pedestrian related crashes, and although education is the preferred method, enforcement action will be taken against the most egregious violators. Police will be at various intersections and crosswalks throughout the Borough monitoring pedestrian and vehicular traffic.

On June 14th 2021, at about 1700 hrs, a dog was located in the 200 blk of E North St. The dog is a black lab mix with a gray face, and blue collar. Anyone who knows where the dog belongs, please contact the Carlisle Police Department.
