On October 31, 2019 at 7:51 pm, the East Pennsboro Township Police were dispatched to a disturbance at Central Penn College in the 100 block of College Hill Road, Enola. A male involved, Keneef Jahheim Bonparte, 27, of the first block of North Saint Bernard Street, Philadelphia, was asked to walk with the officer to his patrol vehicle. Bonparte attempted to walk in front of a moving vehicle when the officer grabbed him to prevent him from being struck. He then began to fight with the officer. Bonparte, who appeared to be under the influence of a controlled substance, grabbed the officer and both of them went to the ground in the middle of College Hill Road. While fighting with the officer, Bonparte grabbed the officer's vest, police radio, and other police equipment. Police used the taser in order to be able to handcuff him. Bonparte continued to resist and fight with officers. Bonparte was arrested and charged with Aggravated assault, Simple assault, Resisting arrest, Disorderly conduct, and Public drunkenness and will face a preliminary hearing before MDJ Sanderson.
