On October 24, 2020, a victim contact the East Pennsboro Township Police Department and reported that she had been raped by Luis Francisco Crus, 31, no fixed address. The investigation revealed that Cruz had contacted the victim to purchase panties via Facebook Marketplace in the beginning of 2020. On June 12, 2020, the victim agreed to meet with Cruz to sell panties after losing her job but very clearly stated "no sex" in her messages to him. When the victim met with Cruz, he did sexually assault her in his vehicle in the eastside parking lot of Planet Fitness and physically restrained her with his body weight. The victim told Cruz to stop and she attempted to get out of the vehicle, but her attempts to get him to stop or get out of the vehicle were unsuccessful. Cruz was charged with Rape, Sexual assault, Aggravated indecent assault, False imprisonment, and Indecent assault and will face a preliminary hearing before MDJ Sanderson.
