On August 14, 2018, at approximately 5:08 pm, the East Pennsboro Township Police were dispatched to a crash with injuries in the 500 block of N. Enola Road. It was reported that there was an unconscious male entrapped in one of the vehicles. Upon arrival, officers found that a vehicle being operated by Brandon Scott Duncan, 25, of the 200 block of Pennsylvania Avenue, Enola, had been driving south when he crossed the center turn lane and went into the northbound lane striking one vehicle, spinning it 180-degrees and then struck a second vehicle head-on. Duncan displayed signs of opiate use and was transported to the hospital for his injuries. Once at the hospital, Duncan was requested to submit to a legal blood draw. Upon following up with the occupants of the vehicle Duncan struck head-on, it was found that both suffered significant injuries, one being out of work for a lengthy period of time, and not having full use of her hand due to those injuries. Upon receiving the blood results, it did show that Duncan had opiates in his system at the time of the crash. Duncan was charged with Aggravated Assault by Vehicle while DUI, DUI, Driving on Roadways Laned for Travel, Driving while Operating Privilege is Suspended, and failing to use a Restraint System (Seatbelt). Duncan will face a preliminary hearing before MDJ Sanderson.
