On January 6, 2018, at approximately 12:31 am, the East Pennsboro Police stopped a vehicle on the ramp to Erford Road from LR 770 for traveling 77 mph which is properly posted at 50 mph. The operator and sole occupant, Shariff A. Harris, 36, of the first block of Argyle Street, Harrisburg, provided the officer with false identification two times. After the second fake name he provided, the officer took Harris into custody and confirmed Harris's identity. Harris was transported to the Cumberland County Prison to be processed on his charges. Another officer remained with the vehicle that was being towed and conducted an inventory search. During the inventory search, a glass smoking device used to smoke marijuana was found along with an open container of vodka. Harris was charged False ID to law enforcement, Possession of drug paraphernalia, Restriction on alcoholic beverages, Drivers required to be licensed, and Speeding and will face a preliminary hearing before MDJ Sanderson.
