On January 17, 2019, at approximately 4:36 pm, the East Pennsboro Township Police stopped a vehicle for displaying an inspection that had expired 10/2018, on Hunter Lane at Richland Lane, Camp Hill. After the officer advised the operator, Donte Lamar Jones, 31, of the 3000 block of Guineveres Drive, Harrisburg, why he was stopped, Jones responded that he also had marijuana in the car. The odor of marijuana was also observed by the officer while speaking with Jones. The vehicle was searched and a marijuana cigarette was located in the center console with a small amount of marijuana in a plastic pouch nearby. Jones was charged with Possession of a small amount of marijuana, Possession of drug paraphernalia, and operating a vehicle without certificate of inspection and will face a preliminary hearing before MDJ Sanderson.
