On June 8, 2018, at approximately 11:03 am, the East Pennsboro Township Police were requested to respond to a fire call in the 900 block of Chester Road, Enola. Upon arrival, officers were advised that firefighters were actively investigating the fire call when a vehicle proceeded into and through the scene. Numerous firefighters and fire police motioned and yelled for the driver to stop but the operator, Mourad K. Shokralla, 39, of the same location, failed to stop. Shokralla ran over a 5" supply hose line dragging it underneath the vehicle and almost drug two junior firefighters with it. Shokralla continued driving and ran over another charged hose line and almost struck several other firefighters when driving through the scene. Shokralla was charged with Recklessly endangering another person and Disorderly conduct and will face a preliminary hearing before MDJ Sanderson.
