On July 15, 2020, at approximately 2:20 am, the East Pennsboro Township Police observed a dark dirt bike with no lights traveling on Stella Street in the area of N. 2nd Street, Wormleysburg. As police traveled in the 600 block of S. Enola Road, Enola, the dirt bike was noticed sitting in the parking lot of Kristy's Whistle Stop. The operator was identified as Mitchell Alexander Horton, 27, of the 2900 block of Heather Place, Harrisburg, and was found to have a suspended or revoked driver's license. Horton fled the parking lot heading north on S. Enola Road. Horton was also found to have an NCIC warrant for a probation violation from Dauphin County. Horton was again seen traveling in the 500 block of N. Enola Road and a traffic stop was attempted when he again fled the area. A warrant for Horton was obtained for Fleeing or attempting to elude police officer, Registration and certificate of title required, Operation of vehicle without certificate of inspection, Driving while operating privilege is suspended or revoked, Driving without lights to avoid identification or arrest, and Flight to avoid apprehension, trial or punishment.
