On April 1, 2019, at approximately 2:49 pm, the East Pennsboro Township Police were dispatched to the first block of Erford Road, Camp Hill, for a suspicious person. Upon arrival, the police made contact with Leslie A. Thompson who was seated in a vehicle. Thompson was found to be unlicensed, in a vehicle that had a suspended registration and was uninsured. In the driver's door handle, a bag containing synthetic marijuana was observed, and Thompson admitted that he knew it was there. The registration plate was seized and towed per the request of the vehicle owner. On April 1, 2019, at approximately 5:17 pm, Thompson went to Magaro's Towing to retrieve property from the vehicle after it had been towed. Thompson entered the vehicle and fled with employees attempting to stop him. It was reported that Thompson fled at a high rate of speed with no registration displayed on the vehicle. A warrant was obtained for Thompson for Possession of a Controlled Substance, Careless Driving, Driving without a License, Driving without Insurance, and Driving an Unregistered Vehicle.
