On February 3, 2021 at 3:34 PM, the Lower Allen Township Police Department was dispatched to the Weis Markets on Simpson Ferry Road regarding a theft. The victim explained that she had left her purse in a shopping cart at the main entrance. When she realized she had left her purse behind she returned to the cart and discovered it was missing. Her purse contained her cell phone, credit cards, and at least $100.00 in cash.
A store employee reviewed surveillance footage and reported that a male took the purse from the cart. The employee advised that the suspect was a regular and he knew him by the first name Milton. It was believed that the suspect lived in a nearby neighborhood in Upper Allen Township. The investigation narrowed down to Milton Cuff as the suspect. Cuff was later interviewed and admitted to taking the purse from the shopping cart.
Charges on Cuff have been filed.
