On September 3, 2020 at 3:56 PM, the Lower Allen Township Police Department was dispatched to the Capital City Mall in reference to a non-active fight. Officers responded and met with Mall Security. Upon reviewing video, it was discovered that the incident was in fact a robbery of an individual involving a male victim and three male assailants. The video depicts three black males in their late teens or early twenties with Suspect #1, later identified as Nyelik T Hill wearing a black skull cap, black down jacket, black pants and sneakers. Suspect #2 was wearing a North Front long sleeve sweater, black Air Jordan pants and white sneakers. Suspect #2 also had small dreadlocks or braided hair. Suspect #3 was wearing a black down hooded jacket, black jeans, grey winter cap and had facial hair.
The three males suspects arrived in a light green or tan sedan Ford Focus sedan, park near the main entrance on the Hartzdale Drive side of the Mall and enter the Mall. The males were all passengers in the vehicle and the unknown driver remained in the vehicle for the duration of the incident.
The three male suspects then entered the male and were walking in front of the American Eagle store when they stopped walking and approached the male victim who was also walking near American Eagle. The male victim had been walking towards American Eagle and the three suspects had been walking towards JC Penney's when they encountered each other. It is apparent from the interaction in the video that all four individuals were familiar with each other and the victim was not selected at random.
The male victim reverses his direction and walks back into the hallway along LA Nails with the three male suspects following him. At approximately 1532 hrs, the surveillance footage depicted Hill grab a hold of the male victim and began assaulting him as Suspect #2 and Suspect #3 engaged in the assault once all four individuals are near the public restrooms in the hallway.
The victim was then thrown to the ground in the women's bathroom as Suspect #3 grabbed the victim's wallet and removed a large amount of cash in the form of dollar bills. Suspect #2 grabbed the victim's American Eagle merchandise and began to leave the bathroom. Hill then grabbed the victim's shoes and clothing and departed from the bathroom. The three suspects are then recorded throwing the victim's shoes and clothing out of the nearby exit facing Sportsman Warehouse before running through the Mall and out to their vehicle.
Photographs of the three suspects were disseminated to various police departments and social media which resulted in several tips identifying Nyelik Tazion Hill as Suspect #1 in the Robbery. Photographs of Hill were obtained and when compared with the video of the Robbery Hill was positively identified as being one of the perpetrators of these crimes.
Arrest warrant served.
