On July 7, 2019 at 3:15 PM, the Lower Allen Township Police Department was dispatched to the Hempt Bros. quarry for a report of an active trespass. An employee of Hempt Bros. called in and reported that a security camera was also stolen from the property. He advised that he could see the live stream of video from the stolen camera and that the male suspects were now in a vehicle driving.
Officers met with the employee and began monitoring the live stream, which also contained audio. In the audio, a GPS could be heard giving directions to the driver. Officers used this information to locate the moving vehicle. The suspect vehicle was stopped on I-83 North at the Second Street exit. The video verified that the correct vehicle was stopped.
Occupying the vehicle was driver, Scott Loveless and his passenger, Nicholas Lardieri. Lardieri was found in possession of the stolen security camera. The odor of marijuana was also detected, and both Lardieri and Loveless were also found to be in possession of marijuana.
Lardieri was taken into custody and charged with theft, trespassing and drug possession. Charges to be filed on Loveless.
