As part of the national effort to contain the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19), the Commissioners of Lower Allen Township have elected to close the Township Municipal Services Center (MSC) and Public Works office for a period of two weeks, beginning Monday March 16th. The situation will be monitored, and the closure may be extended as necessary.
Township employees will report to work as usual. All business with the Township will be handled via email, telephone, mail, and the website www.latwp.org. Any business that MUST be conducted in person shall be done by appointment only. Please call (717) 975-7575 to set up an appointment. The Township maintains a drop-off box in front of the MSC for bill payments, permit applications, etc.
The Board of Commissioners shall meet for one public meeting during the next 30 days to transact time-sensitive business. All other business shall be deferred to a later date. This meeting will be livestreamed on the Township’s YouTube channel, and residents are encouraged to view the livestream rather than attend the meeting in person. All other Board and Commission meetings will be canceled for 30 days beginning Monday, March 16.
The Township’s primary duty is to protect the health and welfare of its residents. We apologize for any inconvenience, but this is an unusual situation that requires strong measures.
