Lower Allen Township Police Department CALEA Re-Assessment
CALEA ASSESSMENT 2021 PUBLIC NOTICE
The Lower Allen Township Police Department is scheduled for a virtual assessment as part of a program to achieve re-accreditation by verifying that it meets professional standards. Administered by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc. (CALEA), the accreditation program requires agencies to comply with standards reflecting best-practices in policy and procedures, administration, and operations.
As part of the virtual assessment, agency employees and members of the community are invited to offer comments at a public meeting session on November 29th at 6:00 P.M. until comments from all who are present are heard. This session will be conducted at the Lower Allen Township Commissioner’s Meeting Room, 2233 Gettysburg Rd, Camp Hill, PA 17011
Agency employees and the public are also invited to offer comments by calling 717-975-7581 on November 29th, between 2:00 P.M. and 4:00 P. M. Comments will be taken by members of the assessment team.
Telephone comments as well as appearances at the public information session are limited to ten (10) minutes and must address the agency’s ability to comply with CALEA’s standards. For questions regarding the standards, contact Captain Leon Crone 717-975-7575 extension 1515.
