On April 7, 2019 around 3:00 PM, Aida Melcado entered Victoria's Secret, which is located inside of the Capital City Mall, with another female actor (known juvenile B.C.) with two large black shopping bags while on their cell phones. Within three minutes both females began removing numerous panties from a display table and drawers and placed them in the two large black shopping bags.
During this time, B.C. can also be seen looking around, acting as a "look out" while Melcado continued to place items into the bag. At 3:05 PM both suspects left the store with the bags full of merchandise. Melcado is observed on video surveillance carrying a black bag with the letter's "XIOS" on it.
The female suspects removed 375 hipster panties valued at $3,937.50, 375 cut thongs valued at $3,937.50, 1000 thongs valued at $10,500.00 and 250 raw cut hip hugging panties valued at $2,625.00. The total loss for Victoria's Secret is $21,000.00.
Both suspects were positively identified on April 18, 2019 through a drug investigation in Fairfax County, Virginia where they were found to be in possession of stolen Victoria's Secret merchandise from a retail theft in Bethesda, Maryland. During this investigation the suspects were in possession of the same "booster" bags that were used in the theft at the Capital City Mall.
An arrest warrant has been issued for Aida Melcado and juvenile charges have been filed against B.C.
