On June 25, 2020 at 3:24 PM, the Lower Allen Township Police Department was dispatched to the Towne Place Suites for a non-active theft of services call involving David Strayer. Strayer and his roommate were known by High Hotels (Homewood Suites and Towne Place Suites) for not paying their bills. So when the couple tried to check out of the Towne Home Suites, the employee requested Strayer to come to the desk to pay while the roommate was packing their things. Strayer waited at the desk making phone calls for help covering their bill, but when the employee turned around for about 10 seconds, Strayer was observed rushing out the door where his roommate was waiting in a car. They both left without paying their bill.
Strayer was identified because he had provided his ID to the Homewood Suites during their stay there. The total due to both hotels is $1,403. Charges were filed and now there is a warrant for Strayer's arrest.
