On December 29, 2014 at approximately 1548 hours, Shippensburg Police were dispatched to 303 North Fayette Street for an active fight. Upon arriving, it was learned that a 17 year old male juvenile had gotten into an argument with his mother. The juvenile was kicked out of her apartment, months prior, and had been living in a nearby apartment with his sister. The juvenile threatened bodily harm to his mother, and when he attempted to break into her apartment, his sister blocked his path. He then assaulted his sister, holding her down on the ground while strangling her by the neck. He then kicked in the front door of his mother's apartment. After entering the apartment, his mother grabbed a knife, in defense of being attacked. The male was arrested and charged with Burglary, Criminal Trespass, Terroristic Threats, 2 Counts of Simple Assault, and Crimina Mischief.
The juvenile was taken to Abraxas Juvenile Detention Facility by Cumberland County Juvenile Probation.
