As a result of an overdose death investigation, Shippensburg Police arrested Jason Allen Cromer, age 33 with the specified offenses. Shippensburg Police conducted a death investigation when the deceased victim was found on April 05, 2017 in Shippensburg Borough, Cumberland County. The Cumberland County Coroner's Office determined the death to be the result of a drug overdose. The male victim was 35 years of age. As a result of the investigation, laboratory analysis determined the victim ingested Acryl Fentanyl, a Fentanyl derivative. Through the course of the investigation, police identified Cromer as the suspected who delivered the drugs to the victim. Magisterial District Judge H. Anthony Adams issued an arrest warrant for Cromer on April 17, 2018. Cromer was apprehended by the Cumberland County Probation & Parole Department on April 18, 2018. A preliminary hearing was held on April 23, 2018 before MDJ Adams and the charges were held for trial. Cromer is being held on $200,000 bail pending his trial.
