On Thursday, June 9, 2016, at 4:33 PM, Shippensburg Police Department was dispatched to South Earl Street and Orange Street for a hit-and-run crash. A description of the fleeing vehicle was given and it was located and stopped by police on East Dykeman Road. The vehicle had apparent front end damage and was confirmed to be the vehicle involved in the crash and fled the scene. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Stone David McClure. Upon investigation, it was found that the driver also damaged property located at 200 South Earl Street while fleeing the scene. A criminal complaint was filed, charging McClure with Accidents involving damage to attended vehicle, False reports to law enforcement authorities, Accidents involving damage to unattended property, Trespass by motor vehicle, Duty to give information and render aid, and Stop signs.
