In the early morning hours of 9/21/18, 21 year old Logan REDCAY of Alexander Spring Road, Carlisle was visibly intoxicated at Sheetz, 359 E. King St. in Shippensburg. REDCAY was heavily swaying and nearly falling asleep standing up. A uniformed officer made sure he was alright, which REDCAY stated he lives locally at Rock Towne Apartments and would call the bus to come pick him up. A short time later, a patron witness REDCAY get inside the back seat of a vehicle that wasn't his. When asked by police why, REDCAY stated he didn't do that. Police advised him to call for that bus ride and not to leave the property on foot which REDCAY acknowledged. A short time later REDCAY again opened the back door of a stranger's vehicle attempting to get in but left on foot on S. Queen St. When police pulled up next to him, REDCAY stumbled into a residential porch. A PBT was administered resulting in .212% BAC. Police transported him to his local residence where he was released to his roommate who agreed to take care of him in lieu of going to jail. A non-traffic citation was filed charging REDCAY with Public Drunkenness.
