On Thursday, August 8, 2019, at approximately 10:10 PM, officers from the Shippensburg Police Department were dispatched to an address in the 400 Block of East King Street for a report of robbery. Officers arrived and spoke to victim. The victim walked into his house and found 4 suspects who were not to be inside. The suspects backed the victim into a corner, and one suspect later identified as Cordell MARPOE, started threatening the victim with a knife. The suspects removed several items from the house.
By late Friday evening (August 9, 2019), all suspects had been identified, and all but one were in police custody. The suspects were identified as: Cordell MARPOE, TJ THOMPSON, Kevin MASON, and Ted ENNIS.
THOMPSON, MARPOE, and ENNIS were arraigned before MDJ H. Anthony ADAMS, Saturday morning. MDJ ADAMS set bail at $100,000 for each suspect.
MASON was taken into custody in Chambersburg on Sunday, August 11, 2019. He was arraigned before MDJ ADAMS on Monday, August 12, 2019, where bail was set at $100,000.
The suspects were charged with the following: Robbery, Conspiracy-Robbery, Burglary, Conspiracy-Burglary, Aggravated Assault, Conspiracy-Aggravated Assault, Criminal Trespass, Theft, and Conspiracy-Theft.
