Citizen Takes Down Suspect at Gunpoint Who Attempted to Get Into His House
Shippensburg Police were called to 125 North Washington St where an intoxicated person attempted to gain access to a house through a side door. With his gun in hand, the resident confronted, Tanner Solarczy. Solarczyk attempted to get away when the resident chased him. When police arrived, the resident had Solarczyk on the ground at gun point. Solarczyk was taken into custody. Solarczyk who was from Johnstown, mistaken the house for a friend of his. Solarczyk was intoxicated and had a blood alcohol content of .333% BAC. He was charged with Disorderly Conduct and Public Drunkenness. His friend, Kyle Flick, who was with him was also taken into custody and charged with Public Drunkenness. His blood alcohol content was, .187% BAC. Both Solarczyk and Flick were transported to the booking center and released.
