Arrest SP-2019-0969

On Monday, 03-04-19 at approximately 0958 hours, members of the Shippensburg Police Department were dispatched to the Shippensburg Area Senior High School for the report of an adult student brandishing a handgun at school staff and administrators, and also making threats and using profanity.  A description of the suspect and the vehicle he entered was provided which was stopped in the area of North Fayette Street in the Shippensburg Borough.  The front seat passenger, identified as Keanu DUNN, 18 years of age, was arrested without incident and a handgun, later to be determined a BB gun was located inside the front passenger compartment.  Statements from the school staff revealed DUNN was meeting with school officials regarding an earlier incident at the school regarding his suspension when he became agitated and disruptive.  After exiting the school with his guardian, he turned to face the school displaying a handgun.  The school entered a lock down and the police were notified via 911.  He was charged with Aggravated Assault,  Terroristic Threats, Possession of weapon on school property and Simple Assault.  He was arraigned before MDJ T.R. Williams. Bail was set at $250,000.00.  He was transported to the Franklin County jail in lieu of bail.  Many thanks to a team effort to include assistance from PSP-Carlisle, Shippensburg University Police and PSP-Chambersburg.  SP-2019-0969
