On Tuesday, October 10, 2017 around 10:15am, in the 500 block of Lowther Street, a West Shore Regional Police Officer observed a black 1999 Ford F150 displaying a license plate reported stolen from a 2010 Ford F150 in Upper Allen Township on October 1, 2017. The officer attempted to stop the black 1999 Ford F150, but it refused to stop. The vehicle continued to travel at slow speeds until the officer pulled in front of the vehicle forcing it to stop.
The operator was identified as 44 year old Wayne Eugene Bair of the first block of Hummel Avenue in Lemoyne. Bair was found to have a DUI-Suspended driver’s license, no vehicle insurance, no vehicle registration, and expired inspection. The stolen license plate was seized and Bair was taken into custody. He was transported to the Cumberland County Prison where he was processed and charged with Fleeing or Attempting to Elude a Police Officer, Receiving Stolen Property, Driving While Operating Privilege is Suspended, DUI-Related, Unauthorized Transfer/Display of Registration, Registration and Certificate of Title Required and Operation of Vehicle Without Official Certificate of Inspection.
The charges will be filed with MDJ Beckley's office.
