On Saturday, December 9, 2017 around 10:30pm, the West Shore Regional Police Department was dispatched for an actgive domestic at a residence in the 200 block of Walnut Street, Lemoyne. Information received was that a male was allegedly in possession of one loaded gun and going to get a second one. The female victim fled the apartment to wait for officers outside.
Officers found the male inside the apartment with a loaded firearm located in his waistband. The male was identified as 23 year old Nicholas Philip Evans, from the 200 block of Walnut Street, Lemoyne. Evans was taken into custody and transported to the Cumberland County Prison where he was processed and charged with Simple Assault. Evans was arraigned by on-call Magisterial District Judge Richard Dougherty who set bail at $10,000.00. Evans was later released after posting bail with a Preliminary Hearing set for Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at 11:15am in MDJ Elizabeth Beckley's court.
