On Tuesday, May 23, 2017 around 4:00PM, the West Shore Regional Police Department was dispatched to the drive thru of a business in the 300 block of Lowther Street Lemoyne for an unknown condition. When officer(s) arrived, citizens were removing a male, who was unconscious and not breathing, from the vehicle. EMS arrived and transported the male to a local hospital.
The male was identified as 46-year-old Jamie Glenn SHARKEY SR, from the 600 block of Market Street, Lemoyne. SHARKEY admitted to officers that he had ingested Heroin and consumed alcohol. SHARKEY submitted to a legal blood test and upon release from the hospital he was transported to the Cumberland County Prison where he was processed on a charge of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and a Controlled Substance. The charges will be filed with Magisterial District Judge Elizabeth Beckley's office once the blood toxicology results are received.
