FOUND CHILD REUNITED WITH PARENTS
On Wednesday morning, October 3, 2018 around 10:15 am the West Shore Regional Police Department received a call from a citizen reporting that they found a young female juvenile approximately two (2) years old wandering on the street in the area of the 300 block of Herman Avenue in Lemoyne Borough. The little girl could not relate her name and several minutes past and no parent or guardian was found in the area looking for the child.
The child was brought back to the Police Station and we issued a Crime Watch alert advising the this child was found on the street.
At about 11:45 am the child's mother did call into the West Shore Regional Police Department advising that she was in a college class and the father was to be at home taking care of her.
The mother did immediately come to the Police Station and met with Officers, the child and a worker from the Cumberland County Children and Youth Services.
At this time Police Officers and Cumberland County Children and Youth Services workers are investigating this incident and we are assuring the public that the child will be in a safe environment this afternoon/evening.
