On April 23rd, 2023, from 12:00 pm-4:00 pm, a child safety seat check will be held in the parking lot of The Point at Carlisle Plaza (directly across from Midas on E. High Street).  This event is sponsored by Midas Auto Repair Shop, in partnership with the Carlisle Borough Police. Midas is hosting this community outreach event to celebrate 67 years in business.  

At this event, certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians will walk you through the proper and safe installation of your child safety seat, go over safety tips, and show you how to safely use your child safety seat.  No appointments are needed. 

According to Safe Kids Worldwide, more than half of car seats are not used or installed correctly.  When used correctly, a child safety seat can reduce the risk of death or serious injury by 71%.
