Law Enforcement Appreciation Day
Friday, January 9, 2015
In light of recent high profile police incidents, demonstrations and negativity directed toward law enforcement officers, the need to maintain and enhance relations between police and the community is at an all time high. Community support and understanding of Law Enforcement is critical to community improvement and trust.
Several national organizations, and even more municipalities have joined together to celebrate Law Enforcement Appreciation Day this Friday, January 9, 2015. Carlisle Borough has joined this movement and will be hosting an open house at the Police Station from 4 - 6 pm. Please join us for a tour of the Police Station, meet some of our officers, watch our K-9 and his handler in action, and see some of the gear that officers use while on duty or on high risk calls. Light refreshments will be served and there will be sign up sheets for the Junior Police Academy (Children's summer program) and the Citizen Police Academy (for the adults).
