St. Patrick's Day Tips
Thoughts from NCPD on St. Patrick’s Day in New Cumberland
The celebration of St. Patrick’s Day in New Cumberland is an important event. Many will take off for Friday’s holiday but remember most will have to go back to work on Monday. Stop by our local establishments as part of your celebration and if it includes unleashing your inner leprechaun, please plan on finding a safe ride home. The rumor going around town is false - we are not dying the Susquehanna River green this year. Like everyone else, we ran into supply chain issues…maybe next year.
Speaking of leprechauns, here’s some tips from the New Cumberland Police Department to have a shamrockin’ good time:
- Post only one photo of your green beer.
- Even though the borough crosswalks are not lined with gold, please use them when crossing any street.
- If you see one of our police officers, yes, we know “you are Irish” but no, we can’t kiss you because you're Irish, sorry.
