This is nothing new in the world of “cops and robbers”, but we had a catalytic converter stolen recently in the 400 block of Sixth Street.

If you can; park your car under lights, in view of cameras or in your driveway. It is your property and anything you can do to protect yourself or your property is usually a good idea.

If you see someone scampering about carrying a battery operated Sawzall or a Sawzall with a really long extension cord and they suddenly disappear under a car, they are not mechanics they are probably thieves,  get a license plate number of the vehicle where they came from and give us a call.
