On April 21, 2023, at approximately 1:27 AM, New Cumberland Police were dispatched to the 400 hundred block of Sixteenth Street for a robbery that had just occurred. During the investigation, it was learned that individuals known, and unknown were at the victim(s) residence. Two individuals, Goldsmith, and Reid each drew handguns from their persons and robbed the victim(s) of property to include an iPhone and a Honda Civic. 

Utilizing available technology, Goldsmith and Reid were apprehended by the York City Police within an hour of the robbery. Several pieces of property of the victims were recovered and two (2) loaded firearms were recovered.

The investigation indicates that this was not a random act of violence.

New Cumberland Police were assisted in this investigation by West Shore Regional Police, York City Police and the Cumberland County Forensic Laboratory.

Goldsmith and Reid were arraigned, and bail was set at $150,000 each, both remain at the Cumberland County Prison.
