Joshua Burns, 35 y/o of Carlisle, was arrested on 3/15/2020 around 12 A.M. for possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of marijuana. Officers with the North Middleton Police Department initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle that BURNS was a passenger in for a lighting vioilation. While conducting the traffic stop, officers smelled the odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. Upon investigation, it was found that BURNS was in possession of a small amount of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and suboxone that he admitted from purchasing from another individual. Joshua Burns was taken into custody for the above charges and transported to Cumberland County Prison for processing. A preliminary hearing will be scheduled for a future date.
