On Sunday August 1st 2021 at about 0759 an officer was dispatched to the area of Crestview Dr. in a construction area for a suspicious occupied vehicle. Officer arrived and was in the process of identification when the suspect left the area at a high rate of speed almost striking a back up officer. A brief pursuit took place south on Spring Rd and into Carlisle where the officer terminated the pursuit. A short time later the officer along with a State Police Trooper cam upon the vehicle and suspect on Enola Rd. Upon seeing the police the suspect took off on foot through fields. Police immediately set up a perimeter around the area with officers assisting from State Police, Carlisle Police, Middlesex Police and the Air Unit of the State Police.
The suspect was tracked with help from residents who called reported seeing the suspect and Carlisle Police K-9 Unit to a wooded area adjacent to 871 North Middleton Rd where officers located the suspect and was able to take him into custody. Suspect was transported to Cumberland County Central Booking for Processing on numerous charges including Fleeing, False ID, Resisting Arrest and Reckless Endangering as well as Flight to avoid prosecution from a Maryland Warrant.
