On Monday, March 13th 2023 at 3:15pm, the North Middleton Township Police Department was dispatched to the first block of Wertz Run Road for a report of a tractor trailer combination which had collided with and destroyed a fire hydrant. It was reported the driver of the combination stopped to look at the damage, and then continued driving with a disabled trailer brake system. North Middleton Police was able to find the tractor trailer combination in a nearby neighborhood and identified the driver as Paulos NANE of South Dakota. NANE was subsequently cited for failing to report the accident involving damage to unattended property.
