The North Middleton Police Department received several suspicious vehicle calls on August 12, 2020, in reference to a white van in several developments in North Middleton Township,  which appeared to be driving slow and occasionally stopping.  The North Middleton Police investigated all leads and pictures provided during the investigation.  It has been determined that the vehicle and person were engaged in a legitimate delivery service and the operator was in training.  The company advised that the vehicle will be appropriately marked before being released for service.  The North Middleton Police Department appreciates the communities assistance with information and images from various security systems that assisted the Police with the investigation and the quick resolution.  Police encourage the public to be aware of their surroundings and to call when observing suspicious persons or vehicles.  Obtaining the registration plate of suspicious vehicles greatly enhances the chances of Police determining whether the person/vehicle is there for a legitimate purpose or involved in criminal behavior.  This should only be done if the safety of the public is not compromised.
