At last evening's Lemoyne Borough Council Meeting Detective John FRIEL and Patrol Officer Christopher CONROY were honored and applauded for their heroic efforts during the multi-structure fire in Lemoyne back on March 9, 2016.
Service 1st Restoration and Remodeling of Harrisburg, PA being represented by Mr. Richard McBride, Business Development Manager and Ms. Emily Gilroy, Director of Marketing presented the Department with a check for $500.00 to be directly used for Police Officer Safety and expressed theirs and the company's words of honor and appreciation to both Detective Friel and Officer Conroy for going beyond the call of duty that day.
Next, Borough Councilman Bob Rapak representing PA State Fire Commissioner Tim Solobay presented the officers with certificates of valor and appreciation from the Fire Commissioners Office for their fine work that day as well.
Finally, Lemoyne Borough's Mayor, Larissa York, presented both Conroy and Friel with Proclamations that have designated both May 14th and 15th, respectively, as Officer Conroy and Detective Friel days in Lemoyne in honor of both Officers for risking their lives that day and in appreciation of Law Enforcement Memorial Week that begins next week, May 9th.
The West Shore Regional Police Department and the residents of both Lemoyne and Wormleysburg are honored and privileged to have an entire staff of brave and dedicated personnel and we are especially proud of both Officer Conroy and Detective Friel for the efforts they displayed and carried out that day back in March!
