On Friday, November 20, 2015, around 5:00pm, the West Shore Regional Police Department was dispatched for a multi-vehicle crash in the 1200 block of State Street, Lemoyne. Officers arrived on the scene and learned that there were three individuals injured in the crash. The investigation found that a white Honda, operated by a 43 year old male, had been traveling east on State Street when he attempted to make a left turn into the parking lot of the West Shore Plaza. When he made the turn, a black BMW, driven by a 26 year old female, that was heading west on State Street, struck the Honda causing it to spin and come to rest facing west. The Honda then drifted back and struck a blue Fordthat had stopped due to the traffic back up. That vehicle was being operated by a 49 year old female who was not injured.
The drivers of the Honda and the BMW, and a passenger in the Honda, were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries. West Shore Regional Police were assisted at the scene by the West Shore Bureau of Fire, Holy Spirit EMS, Lower Allen EMS, and Life Team.
