On July 4th, 2025, at 12:46 PM, the Lower Allen Township Police Department was dispatched to Claire's Boutique, 3572 Capital City Mall Drive for an active retail theft. The manager reported that a black male with dreadlocks, a white T-shirt, and black pants had stolen earrings valued at $9.99 before leaving the store. 

Prior to police arrival mall security had located the suspect in Zumiez. Officers arrived and made contact with Nayquan Prather who was found to be wearing the earrings. During search incident to arrest Prather was found to be in possession of a THC vape pen and did not possess a medical marijuana card.

Prather was taken to Cumberland County Prison.

Charges were filed and a summons was issued for Prather. 

Prather failed to appear for his hearing and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
