On Wednesday December 14, 2022 at or about 1123 hours the Camp Hill Police Department was dispatched to the 200 block of N. 23rd Street for a hit and run crash. Information was relayed to responding officers that the striking vehicle was now at the Eisenhower Elementary School. Upon arriving on scene officers located the striking vehicle in the Eisenhower Elementary School parking lot. The operator of the striking vehicle was removed from the vehicle and showed signs of impairment. Empty heroin packets were located in plain view inside of the striking vehicle and the operator also appeared to be under the influence of a controlled substance to the extent that after officers took him into custody Narcan had to be administered by the responding officers . This resulted in a 53 year old male with a Camp Hill address being charged with DUI, accidents involving attended vehicles or property , and other misdemeanor and summary charges. The Camp Hill Police Department would like to advise parents and members of the public that this incident was contained and over within seconds of the officers arriving on scene and at no time were students or faculty in any imminent danger.
