On Thursday October 31st, 2024 at or about 1531 hours The Camp Hill Police Department was dispatched to the intersection of S.19th Street and Princeton Avenue for a hit and run crash that had just occurred where a fire hydrant was struck and damaged. The striking vehicle was located by a Lower Allen Township Police Officer in the 2400 block of Gettysburg Road. This resulted in a 21 year old female with a Mechanicsburg address being cited for Driving Under Suspension, Operating a Vehicle Without Required Financial Responsibility, Careless Driving, and Accidents Involving Damage to an Unattended Vehicle or Property, Pennsylvania American Water Company was advised of the damaged fire hydrant.
