On February 8, 2023, a preliminary hearing was held before Magisterial District Judge Daniel Freedman on charges against Robert Lee Suders. The charges include two counts of Attempted Homicide, two counts of Aggravated Assault, Endangering the Welfare of a Child, and Theft. After a hearing, where both victims testified, MDJ Freedman held all charges to the Court of Common Pleas. The Commonwealth alleges that on January 27, 2023, Suders, who was staying with the victims at their residence in Mt Holly Springs, stabbed both victims multiple times with a knife. The victims suffered serious injuries including stab wounds to their heads. Both victims were transported for emergency medical treatment. Following the attack on the victims, Suders fled the scene and was later apprehended in Chambersburg. Charges were filed by Trooper Amy Kocher-Fry of the Pennsylvania State Police in Carlisle. This case is being prosecuted by First Assistant District Attorney Courtney Hair LaRue.
Note: The facts listed above are allegations at this time. Robert Suders is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
