Did you know our Forensic Investigation Division coordinates with the PA National Guard to dispose thousands of pounds of unwanted/unused prescription and non-prescription medications each year?

Local police departments, colleges, and county buildings host our secure medication drop boxes, which have collected nearly 46,000 lbs. since 2015.

Medications are collected, packaged, sealed, logged into a database, and transported to the forensic lab where they are secured until conveyed to an approved incinerator with assistance from the PA National Guard.
