On October 18, 2022, defendant Timothy Bennett was convicted by a jury of one count of Possession with Intent to Deliver Methamphetamine. The jury’s verdict was reached after a one-day trial before the Honorable Judge Matthew P. Smith.
The charges in this case stem from a drug-related arrest that occurred in Wormleysburg Borough on November 29, 2021. On that day, officers from the West Shore Regional Police Department responded to a motel room in Wormleysburg Borough regarding a possible medical incident. During that investigation, officers located the Defendant in possession of approximately 23 grams of methamphetamine, an amount of product consistent with drug dealing. Officers also discovered multiple scales and assorted drug paraphernalia in the motel room as well as several hundred dollars in U.S. currency on the Defendant’s person.
The case was prosecuted by Senior Assistant District Attorney Daniel Tarvin and by Officer Grant Cox of the West Shore Regional Police Department. Sentencing in this case is scheduled for Tuesday, November 8 before Judge Smith.
