On Tuesday, July 26, 2022, Yahbrii Greer was sentenced by Judge Brewbaker to 25 to 50 years in state prison after being convicted in March 2022 by a Cumberland County jury of 10 counts of luring a child into a motor vehicle. In Februrary of 2020, in Carlisle Borough, Greer approached children in groups and offered ten different minor children money attempting to get the children to enter his vehicle.
At sentencing, Senior Assistant District Attorney Nichole Vito presented evidence that Greer was previously convicted of a sexual offense in York County triggering a second strike mandatory 25 year sentence. In addition to his prison sentence, Greer must register as a sex offender on Megan’s Law for 15 years upon his release from prison. The case was prosecuted from start to finish by Senior Assistant District Attorney Vito. The DA’s Office would like to thank Detective Nina Klinger, the Carlisle Borough Police Department, and Victim Services for their hard work in bringing the defendant to justice. The DA’s Office would also like to thank Detective Sergeant Kyle Hower of the York City Police Department for his assistance with the prosecution of this case.
